Tuesday’s Angels began in response to the unique and considerable needs of men, women and children living with HIV/AIDS in Broward County, with a small group of men sharing a dinner on the first Tuesday of each month and taking contributions to raise monies for those in need. Incorporated as a nonprofit in 1993, the organization funded a variety of emergency living expenses incurred by its clients, including rent, electric or water bills, transportation, eyeglasses, and other basic needs. Throughout the next 25 years, 100% of all monies received by Tuesday’s Angels went directly to individuals living with HIV/AIDS or to beneficiary organizations that were uplifting and improving the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS.
The Fund continues to provide direct assistance to financially needy people with HIV/AIDS in Broward County and to those organizations supporting this population.
