After launching the Resilience Fund in late March in response to the negative impact of COVID-19 on South Florida’s LGBTQ non-profit agencies, Our Fund Foundation galvanized the community to raise $150,000 to match a 1:1 challenge of board-restricted funds approved by Our Fund’s board of directors. In two weeks, dedicated philanthropists came together and stepped up to support 27 agencies affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, Our Fund raised and granted out $310,000 to those South Florida agencies to continue their critical services and ensure they are equipped to have lasting impact in the future.
Our Fund Foundation will continue to monitor the challenges facing South Florida’s LGBTQ community and will respond with leadership and support, as needed.
