Supporting our valued agencies

In 2020, Our Fund Foundation completed a Community Needs Assessment to determine the greatest needs and priorities of South Florida’s LGBTQ community.  Philanthropists, community leaders and staff and clients of LGBTQ-serving agencies participated in a months-long series of conversations and surveys.  The Assessment also included surveys issued during the COVID pandemic so that information could be updated with consideration given to the shifting landscape facing LGBTQ people in anticipation of a post-COVID world.

With this information in hand, Our Fund has redesigned its grant process to focus on three key areas with its discretionary grants: Health & Wellness, Social Justice & Equity and Arts & Culture. Requests for Proposals (RFP) will be issued throughout the year and will be announced via Our Fund’s agency network communications and social media. Discretionary grants are made possible through contributions from Legacy Society gifts (estate gifts), Our Fund Donor Advised Fundholders and individual donors, and the support of philanthropic partners.

In addition to Our Fund Foundation’s discretionary funds, Our Fund administers the John C. Graves Fund at Our Fund and the Tuesday’s Angels Fund at Our Fund. Neither of these Funds’ grant panels review unsolicited applications.   Agencies in Our Fund’s network whose programs intersect with the funding priorities of either of these two Funds are brought before the funding panels from time to time for consideration of support.  For more information about how to qualify for support from The Graves or Tuesday’s Angels Funds at Our Fund, please email DJobin@Our-Fund.org.
