December 13th marked our Winter Grant Cycle 2016 Reception. The following agencies and programs were awarded iGive grants in Our Fund Foundation’s winter 2016 grant allocation.
ArtsUnited, Inc.
Funding will be used to support its lesbian, women of color, poetry slam at the annual ArtServe exhibit.
Broward Education Foundation
Funding will be used to develop its Youth Leadership Council and GSA Summit in order to promote leadership skills and safe sexual health practices amongst LGBTQ youth.
Church of the Holy SpiritSong
Funding will be used to enhance their food pantry to provide more for LGBT families receiving support.
Gay8 Festival
Funding supports the street festival on Calle Ocho to promote the diversity of Little Havana and LGBT comunities.
Island City Stage
Funding supports program to enhance engagement with the lesbian community and expand youth programs.
MiFo
Funding supports investment in central management software to support operations.
The Poverello Center
Funding supports the hiring of a full-time receptionist at Live Well Center, offering complementary and alternative medicine to HIV/AIDS clients.
Safe Schools South Florida
Funding supports program to promote safe learning environments for LGBTQ students.
SunServe
Funding supports initiative to assist income challenged seniors on housing, HIV disease management, and mental health issues.
Ujima Men's Collective
Funding supports a project designed to education, empower and encourage Black same gender loving men in South Florida.
Women in Network
Funding supports an opportunity for members to hear from prestigious women (local and national) during this speakers series.
World AIDS Museum
Funding supports access to programs, education, and services to Broward County School youth.
