  • ACLU of Florida
    The ACLU-FL Hispanic Communications Initiative (HCI)

    Increase support for LGBT rights among Broward’s Hispanic leaders, particularly among younger generations and others whose attitudes are evolving. HCI will strengthen collaborations with community partners, and engage, educate and learn from at least 65 of Broward’s most influential Hispanic community residents in order to create communications strategies that will persuade many thousands of Broward’s Hispanic residents to support LGBT rights.

  • Legal Aid Service of Broward County, Inc.
    Broward Human Rights Initiative (BHRI)

    Providing free civil legal advice and representation to individuals regarding possible discrimination, collaborating with local, state and national organizations with similar missions, and conducting widespread community outreach and legal education to spread awareness of legal rights and affect widespread policy change.

  • Equality Florida
    LGBT Elder Equality Project

    Project will provide LGBT elders and those preparing for their senior years with useful tools to protect themselves from discrimination and financial ruin. It will also help education and advocacy organizations to focus resources on places where new laws must be adopted, existing laws need to be modified or where positive change can come from non-legislative means.

  • SAVE Foundation
    Communications and Technology within the 12X12 Campaign

    Increasing political awareness and engagement in the democratic process during the 2012 elections and beyond. 12,000 people will be educated through grassroots action and 200,000 will be reached through new and traditional media campaigns about Florida’s new restrictive voting laws and the lack of protections for people who are LGBT.
