A graduate of Central Connecticut University, he began his career as a Certified Public Accountant and worked for a large national accounting firm for almost 15 years. After leaving public accounting, Mr. Timiraos served as Chief Financial Officer for a large international market research company in New York City and subsequently worked with the founders to list the company on the American Stock Exchange.

After a brief retirement as CFO, he joined his life partner and founded a successful business which they subsequently sold just prior to a move to South Florida. In Fort Lauderdale, he joined an entertainment and casino day cruise operation as their CFO and after restructuring their financial operations he became the CFO for a non-profit community foundation.

Mr. Timiraos has always been actively involved in the non-profit community. He has served on many local and national boards including a seven year commitment to Lambda Legal’s board of which he served five years as Treasurer.
