National LGBT Leadership Forum

On October 3, 2011, Our Fund presented a National LGBT Leadership Forum at the Riverside Hotel in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Forum was a roundtable discussion about strategy, collaboration, achievements and setbacks toward equality with leaders of national and state LGBT organizations moderated by Paul Smith, Law Partner of Jenner & Block in Washington DC well known for his argument in front of the US Supreme Court in Lawrence v. Texas (2003). Panelists included Michael Adams, Executive Director of Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders (SAGE); Rea Carey, Executive Director, National Gay & Lesbian Task Force; Kevin Cathcart, Executive Director of Lambda Legal and Nadine Smith, Executive Director of Equality Florida.
A reception followed the forum where nearly 200 philanthropist joined to continue the conversation with the panelists and moderator. The video below is a brief summary of the evening.
